Cardiology is one of the areas UDUN Studio Medico invests in most, and it's led by our Medical Director, Dr. Maisaidi Meilikemu.
Training and background
Dr. Meilikemu earned his PhD in Cardiovascular Diseases in 2008 and, in 2015, the European Hypertension Specialist diploma.
Between 2005 and 2019 he spent 14 years in the Cardiology department of Policlinico di Milano, including a research period at the Heart Institute in Ottawa, Canada (2008–2009), and has published several scientific papers in cardiology.
Areas of expertise
His main areas of work include:
- Colour Doppler echocardiography;
- Assessment and long-term management of hypertension;
- Ultrasound of the supra-aortic trunks (TSA), used to evaluate cardiovascular and stroke risk;
- Ongoing follow-up and medication adjustment for cardiac patients.
